This last figure is interesting for a less obvious reason. I.e. the associated discussion gave rise to a new Naming Principle for graphs: the stick figure model name. Whereby Butterfly is a truer name than Bowtie or Hourglass. Because no matter how the cartoon butterfly flaps, it is still a cartoon butterfly viewed from some angle. But the same cannot be said of the Bowtie or Hourglass names.
Challenge: can you find stick model figure names for all the homeomorph irreducible graphs of order up to 5 inclusive?
